A Planeswalker's Guide to Alara, Alara Unbroken

Asha "the Blessed" is a mythical figure from Alara, an archangel who was said to have battled Malfegor before the Sundering.[1][2] She ultimately sacrificed herself to banish the demon, but contrary to the written record she was unable to slay him.

Description

Asha was Bant's guardian angel.[3] Before she died, she ruled the Cathedral of Bliss, a position that has remained vacant ever since.

Her legacy includes the Prayer of Asha, the Sword of Asha, and the Sigil of the Empty Throne.[3] Her name has become a title, although no angel has become great enough to assume it, and her throne remains empty in Alara's skies.[4]
