Sarkhan Vol is a red-green planeswalker living in Jund. He is known to be a shaman, who worships dragons. In fact, Sarkhan ascended when he connected to a dragon spirit in a trance.
When Ajani first came to Jund, Sarkhan saved him from Karrthus and taught the nacatl how to return to his home.
Alara Unbroken
The novel Alara Unbroken features Sarkhan as one of its later antagonists.
Journey to the Eye
Sarkhan is featured in chapters 2 and 3 of the planeswalker webcomic Journey to the Eye. He is wandering the plane of Zendikar, presumably there since his loss on Alara, wondering if Nicol Bolas is punishing him for his loss. He appears to be speaking to himself, though why this is is still left to be seen. He appears at the end of chapter 3, saving Chandra Nalaar from an attack by a vampire.
