Veshay Wood is a forest somewhere in Dominaria. It is the lower part of the Northern Forest and hosts the village of Veshaynya. It is filled with pine and pinnacle cedars and hosts giant spiders, orcs, gorillas, and elves. Not far away lies the human kingdom of Caeliyan and the dwarven stronghold of Battavorn.[1]
History
On the marriage day of the elven princess Tenya Vesh and the human prince Beric Rycaelin, the village of Veshaynya was attacked by a single giant spider, which killed several wedding guests and took the rest into its webs high in a pinnacle cedar. Tenya and Beric set out to rescue their family and people, but they were jumped by a pair of gorillas and Beric fell off the branches of a tree. Thinking him dead, Tenya continued alone until she too was captured by the spider. A potion she'd drunk saved her from most of the spider's venom though, and she was able to cut herself free and finish off the spider. Toward the end of her battle, she was rejoined by Beric who had survived his fall, and together, they recovered the rest of the survivors.[1]
