The Ohran Mountains are a large mountainous region in central Gulmany, part of the Terisian Isles on Dominaria.
Description
The Ohrans are tall enough that some peaks are snowy year round, and are home to snow-thriving snakes and yetis.
History
Formerly known as the Colekgan Mountains, the Ice Age caused the range to be heavily locked in ice, with the southwestern spur known as the Ohran Ridge as the only accessible part of the mountains. After the Thaw, the Colekgans took their name from this ridge and became known as the Ohran Mountains.
During the Flooding of Terisiare, wizards and sages from the School of the Unseen wandered over most of western Terisiare, all the way north to the Ohran Mountains. During these critical early years they helped evacuate, rescue, and resettle those whose homes and towns were lost to the floods.[1]
After the floods had settled, Urza and Xantcha made a home for themselves in the Ohran Ridge until Xantcha's death in Koilos and Urza's relocation to Tolaria to found the Tolarian Academy.[2]
