Mina Lee is a second-year student at Silverquill College and one of the most inquisitive minds on campus. Dedicated to the power of language and its impact on truth and magic, Mina brings her analytical mind to both academic and extracurricular pursuits.

Description

A devoted scholar of language and its applications, Mina Lee is fascinated by the nuances of word choice, tone, and verbal spell components. She believes that slight alterations in phrasing can subtly, but profoundly, affect the way reality is perceived—and possibly even manipulated. This passion drives her academic research, and she plans to devote her post-graduate studies to exploring how the verbal components of spells could be refined or adapted, despite conventional wisdom declaring them immutable.

Outside the classroom, Mina is an investigative reporter for the Strixhaven Star, the university's campus-wide newspaper. Through rigorous interviews and careful observation, she seeks to uncover hidden truths, challenge misinformation, and report on matters of student interest and campus politics. Her journalistic work often puts her in direct contact with faculty, administrators, and influential students.

To help fund her studies, Mina also works part-time as a server at the Firejolt Café. While the job provides a steady income, she also uses her time there to discreetly gather intel—eavesdropping on conversations or overhearing rumors that might spark her next big story.

Mina is a devoted and methodical researcher whose natural curiosity and diligence make her a reliable ally to those she trusts. Friends who seek her help often benefit from her tireless investigations; if asked for obscure or hard-to-find information—provided it's not confidential—she will dive into her research and deliver a thorough, detailed report within a week.

However, those who earn Mina's disfavor may find themselves subtly inconvenienced. At the Firejolt Café, for example, her rivals mysteriously discover that their preferred drink ingredients are always out of stock, no matter how common the request. Left with no choice, they must regularly settle for a second-best option — an annoyance that rarely seems to affect anyone else.[1]
