Emperor Mihail II is the current sovereign of Vodalia on Dominaria. He is a member of the Stovorod caste, the aristocracy of Vodalia.[1]
History
Mihail served in the military in his youth. A strong leader for his merfolk kindred, he is torn between his desire to right the ills of the world and his fear of pushing a realm already teetering on the brink of autocracy over the edge. The Phyrexian invasion has only made louder the calls in Mihail's inner circle for control at any cost.[2]
Mihail is married to Annika of the low-class Voyshe caste. Empress Annika is a former schoolteacher and a faithful but liberal Svyelunite.[1] Their daughters are the intelligent and opinionated Princess Felisia and the quiet, thoughtful Princess Marja.
