Koskun is a mountainous region in Ulgrotha. It is comprised of a set of mountains, a keep, a river, and waterfalls. Koskun is the Goblin word for "big." [1]
Locations
- An-Zerrin is a small castle hidden within the Koskun Mountains, though it is now no more than a tumble of stones and snow-haunted rooms. Its occupants were killed by Baron Sengir and served him in death.
- The Kher Ridge is the home of the Anaba Minotaurs. This was where Taysir of Rabiah defeated Sandruu, and where Feroz killed Taysir. The Monument to Feroz was created here by Serra.[2]
- Koskun Keep is a stronghold of goblins and thieves. It is ruled by Eron the Relentless, who had an agreement with Aysen to buy food from them in return for not attacking their towns. The goblin wizards from the Keep perform egotistical duels against mages from the Wizards' School that threatened to hinder relations between the two powers. At the base of the keep is the fortress of Strongrock. Due to the large number of brigands on the roads near Koskun Keep, most trade caravans carry extra money and kegs of goblin ale with which to distract the always, often thirsty, and eminently bribable ambush parties.[3]
- The Koskun River flows through the mountains and turns into the Koskun Falls before reaching the Dark Barony. The Koskun Falls mark the border between Koskun Keep and the Sengirian villages of the Dark Barony on Ulgrotha. Both Sengir and Eron watch the falls constantly.[3]
