The Beast walkers are secretive human shapeshifters who roam the roads and coasts of Aysen on Ulgrotha, watching for minions of Baron Sengir or any signs of trouble.

They are competent fighters and are devoted to the protection of the city of Onella and all those who travel to and from it. They can shapeshift into bears or crows, courtesy of a spell taught to them by a mysterious wanderer named Porrin (actually Feroz in disguise). If necessity arises, one of them will transform into a crow, to fly to the Aviary at Onella and report to the falconer. The Beastwalkers are a sort of secret order that has existed for nearly as long as Aysen has. They come from towns and villages all over Aysen and are devoted to protecting their compatriots from harm. If the Aysen crusaders and Serra paladins do all of the visible work, the Beast Walkers work behind the scene. Even if they don't generally have much say or opinion on modern political issues, as they have their hands full monitoring the roads, they follow the Samite way of thinking.[1]
