Korvold, Fae-Cursed King, is a dragon noble from Eldraine.

Description

After being transformed by his curse, Korvold is a black-scaled, fire-breathing dragon. Like many dragons on Eldraine he has a crown of twisted horns, one befitting of his station as a king.

History

Korvold was originally a human king of a kingdom on Eldraine. He was known for his greed and on his wedding day he was cursed by the fae to become a dragon with an insatiable appetite as punishment for his ways. As he was transformed he promptly ate the banquet, the gifts, and the guests of the wedding.

Korvold survived the New Phyrexian Invasion.

Trivia

  • Korvold may be a reference to the Norse myth of Fáfnir - a dwarf whose greed slowly transformed him into a dragon.
