Syr Alin, the Lion’s Claw, is a human knight of Eldraine.
Background
Syr Alin is a knight of Ardenvale. While not much is known about his background, it is known that the knights of Ardenvale are loyal above all else. They are not only loyal to their rulers, but to each other, and to the entire community that makes up the court. It is said their loyalty trumps any sense of arrogance or self-importance. They see victory as belonging to the group rather than any individual member, and even a lone knight's glory accrues to Ardenvale as a whole.
Ardenvale knights are known to be fierce in battle, especially when fighting as a group. They rarely quest alone, and loyalty means that they’ll never leave behind a fellow knight in enemy clutches. When not in battle or questing in the wilds, they usually gather at the court for company and conversation, something they value more than any treasure.
Ardenvale knights are often sent to protect townsfolk from all manner of danger both near and far. Their loyalty to the realm means they are often the first to be asked for help by the other courts in times of crisis.[1]
