Artifacts known as Triskelions were artificial creatures created by Tawnos while he was working as Chief Scholar in Penregon. Used as sentinels and mobile fortifications,[1] They had three legs that could skewer an enemy. They could see in three directions at once and were optimally designed for agility, mobility, and lethality. It proved its usefulness and versatility in many of the later battles between Urza and Mishra.[2]
