Chaos Vault: Dandân is a new type of product in the experimental Secret Lair Chaos Vault product range.[2][3] It will become available for purchase from the Wizards of the Coast webshop secretlair.wizards.com on TBA. A special launch event, Secret Lair [REDACTED], was run on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at MagicCon Atlanta.[4] Participants were given a copy of the deck as part of their entry.[5]
Description
This product is created for Forgetful Fish or Dandân, a casual constructed Magic: The Gathering format that revolves around the eponymous Dandân, a creature from Arabian Nights. Unlike most formats, both players share the same base blue deck and even the same graveyard. Forgetful Fish was created by Nick Floyd between Spring 1996 and Summer 1997, but got popular enough to receive a few dedicated articles online only in 2022 and gained attention when Rhystic Studies spotlighted the format in 2023.[6][7][8][9][10][11]
Nick Floyd, the format's creator, was not involved in the creation of this version of the Dandân deck, nor was he officially recognized as its originator in any of the marketing materials released around MacigCon Atlanta 2025.[12]
