Rhystic Studies is a documentary series on YouTube that explores the art, history, and culture of Magic: The Gathering. The channel is named after the eponymous card Rhystic Study. Its author, Sam Gaglio, has been working on the site since 2013.
Description
At the center of each video is a leading question — "How are foil Magic cards made?" "Who can read and translate the Phyrexian language?" "Why is Black Lotus the most valuable card in the game?" Simple inquiries such as these become extended stories through Magic's rich and complex past.[1] Sam holds a Ph.D. in Italian literature, and applies his scientific research, writing and presentation skills to every video project..[2][3]
