Nohr was a weatherworker on Cridhe and responsible for the Parting.[1]
Description
Nohr was weasel-faced and had dark hair. He was able to sense the change in weather patterns, and accurately able to predict rain, snow, wind, and seasonal changes.[1]
History
One night when Nohr had been served a heavy drink and given a magical sword Soulslayer by the stranger Malvos, Nohr swore to break the Clan Tree of Cridhe to gain planeswalkerhood, an idea which had been given to him by Malvos. Despite Keeper Haen's heavy protesting, Nohr split the tree, causing the Parting, a cataclysmic event that marked the downfall of Cridhe’s natural order and the fragmentation of its people. Instead of opening a path to another plane, Nohr’s magic disrupted the Clan Tree’s life force, killing it and shattering its stability. This act fulfilled an ancient curse laid by Cridhe’s creator-god, the Maker: the land split in two, physically and spiritually dividing the people of the plane. Nohr was wounded in this act by a shard lodging in his chest, and his line would stay on one side of the chasm, each generation with its weather-worker born with a painful birthmark and destined to go mad around the age of thirty. Inys Nohr was named in honor of Nohr, despite his rash and harmful actions.[1]
