The Marked Ones were a shamanistic barbarian tribe of the Balduvian Steppes during the Ice Age of Dominaria.

Their water was poisoned by Lim-Dûl so that he could then use their dead bodies in his army and steal their magical artifacts.

Kjeldorans later happened upon a dying Marked One named Samiks, who told them what had happened. After Samiks passed away, the Kjeldorans tracked down the rest of the Marked Ones, and the sorcerer Bolar administered a Healing Salve to cure them of Lim-Dûl's poison. This was an important early step in forming bonds between the Kjeldorans and the Balduvians, which would later bloom into a full alliance.
