Kollema Hall is one of the central landmarks of the Lorehold College at Strixhaven University, serving as a hub for historical scholarship, magical experimentation, and academic discourse. Known for its soaring spire and dynamic architecture, the hall is a place where past and present intertwine — lectures, magical demonstrations, and research unfold amid relics of bygone eras and innovations in arcane methodology.

Description

Kollema Hall rises ten stories high, with a central dome and radiating tiers of galleries and study balconies. Thousand-foot scrolls and massive banners flutter from high balconies, often unfurling texts so large they can be read from across the hall. The structure's namesake is Magister Kollema, one of Lorehold's founding professors, whose teachings emphasized the active invocation and reinterpretation of historical knowledge. At the heart of the hall stands a towering statue of Kollema, clad in monastic robes and holding a staff and book — a symbol of wisdom and inquiry visible from every floor.

The hall's magical architecture adapts to its occupants: staircases shift to accommodate movement, and glyph-etched platforms allow seamless transport between floors. Light radiates from both magical lanterns and a domed skylight, keeping the chamber illuminated at all hours. Protective wards ensure the hall remains secure, with its entrances magically sealed after dark.

Despite its formality, the space pulses with intellectual energy. From conjured visions of ancient civilizations to debates between archivists and students, Kollema Hall remains the beating heart of Lorehold's pursuit of truth through history.

Kollemma Hall is also the site where the annual Magister's Masquerade takes place, an elegant costume ball hosted for third-year students.[1]
