Gnostro is a fearsome three-headed chimera native to the plane of Theros.
History
Travelers who find themselves wandering the rugged peaks of the Katachton Mountains should beware if they hear a strange chorus of voices echoing through the cliffs.[1] This unsettling sound likely belongs to Gnostro, a monstrous chimera that claims the entire Katachton mountain range as its hunting domain. Each of Gnostro’s three heads resembles a different creature, and each possesses a unique and deadly power.
The owl head emits a haunting hoot that seems to ripple through the fabric of time itself, granting Gnostro fleeting visions of its prey’s future actions and allowing it to anticipate and counter their moves.[1] Meanwhile, the wolf head snarls and howls with a terrifying intensity that conjures scorching flames capable of melting even the toughest Akroan steel weapons. The third head, that of a horse, produces whinnies and snorts believed to carry potent healing magic, able to mend wounds that would be fatal to most. However, no one has ever survived long enough to verify this power, as those who approach close enough are violently torn apart by the chimera’s other two heads.
