Mitul is a gifted vedalken artificer from Ghirapur on Kaladesh. Like many of his race, he shows a calm and calculated demeanor, unclouded by raw emotion.[1]
History
Assisting his friend, the elven inventor Rashmi, Mitul contributed to her aetherological research in a massive roving Inquirium where they strove to unlock the secrets of the Blind Eternities surrounding Kaladesh.[2] While doing research, they created a miniature planar portal.[1] With her invention, Rashmi won the Inventors' Fair but was abducted by Tezzeret.[3]
In Tezzeret's employ, Rashmi expanded on the design and created the Planar Bridge, all the while being denied her requests for Mitul to be brought to her. After realizing the evil Tezzeret would do with her invention and a threat to both her own and Mitul's life, Rashmi sabotaged her invention and escaped the aether lab, and was taken into the care of Saheeli and the Renegades, with Mitul being brought in later after a teleported warning from Rashmi.[4]
Together with Rashmi, Mitul completed Tezzeret's Ruin for the Renegades, a massive skyship designed to attack the Consulate's Spire. At its inauguration, Rashmi renamed it the Heart of Kiran.[5]
