Valla is a plane featured in Planechase, on the card Immersturm.[1] Its actual existence in canon however is uncertain.[2]
Description
At Immersturm, a storm of magic rages, causing the people of Valla to engage in a never-ending war, and is populated by demons. The planeswalker Gideon Jura was, at some point, involved in this war.[3]
Retcon
In 2021, Immersturm was revealed as one of Kaldheim's realms, and the status of Valla as a separate plane or another name for Kaldheim remains uncertain.[4] According to Mark Rosewater, R&D "had to change some of the plane names from Planechase."[2]
According to Ethan Fleischer, Valla still exists. It was originally part of Kaldheim incorporating the realm of Immersturm, before splitting off. Now there is an Immersturm on Kaldheim and Valla.[5]
