Kwende is a human knight from Femeref on [[Dominaria (plane)Dominaria. He is descended from the Zhalfirin general Mageta the Lion whom he idolized.[1]

Kwende is descended from followers of the renowned Zhalfirin general Mageta the Lion. Though Mageta was phased out of time with the rest of Zhalfir, Kwende's ancestors were outside Zhalfir when Teferi worked his magic, and they settled in Femeref like many other dispossessed Zhalfirins. Kwende idolizes the famous general, who is known for turning the tide in a war against Keldon invaders some 350 years ago. He strives to live a life worthy of songs that might be sung alongside Mageta's deeds.[2]
