Pro Tour Player Cards are marketing cards that have appeared in tournament packs, preconstructed theme decks, and fat packs from Ravnica: City of Guilds till Eventide.[1] They highlighted a Pro Player's career till the year of the card. The front of each card featured a portrait of the player and his national flag, with the back filled with career statistics and personal data. Pro Cards did not appear in booster packs and, since they were extras, nothing was removed from the products they appeared in.

Aaron Forsythe felt that there was a need for more exposure of the Pro Tour, as the coverage of Magic events had shifted from the Sideboard and Duelist to the online coverage at magicthegathering.com.[2] The cards were met with mixed reviews.[3]
