Murray Evans is a Canadian former professional Magic player.
In 1998, a twelve-year-old Murray Evans defeated former Player of the Year Olle Råde of Sweden at a relatively meaningless Standard tournament in Vancouver. That win earned Evans the nickname "The Mauler" and a spot in Canadian Magic folklore. "The Mauler" grew into his name over the next years, making the Canadian national team twice. His breakthrough performance was a Top 8 at the 2004 World Championships, a feat he duplicated two weeks later at Pro Tour Nagoya.
