Shu Komuro is a Japanese former professional Magic: The Gathering player. His crowning achievement was winning Pro Tour Nagoya 2003.
The final match of Pro Tour Nagoya was a study in contrasts. Shu Komuro, a relative newcomer who qualified at a Pro Tour Qualifier, was defending Japanese home soil against Anton Jonsson, widely considered one of the world’s best drafters. Komuro defeated the Swede — a feat he had also accomplished in the Swiss rounds — becoming only the second Japanese player to win a Pro Tour. Komuro’s previous claim to fame was winning Grand Prix Yokohama 2003.[1]
