Chris McDaniel is an American former professional Magic: The Gathering player. His accomplishments include two Pro Tour Top 8s.
McDaniel used to play another Wizards of the Coast game. When players at a local store needed a player to fill out a Magic draft, they would holler for the “Star Wars Kid” to fill the void. How could they know that that moniker would come to identify one of the best American players of his day? McDaniel put his prowess on full display at Pro Tour–Los Angeles with the Heartbeat of Spring combo deck that became as synonymous with his name as that other game he used to play.[1][2]
