Takuya Osawa is a Japanese professional Magic player. He crowning achievement was winning Pro Tour Prague 2006.[1]

Professional play

Takuya Osawa credited his love of Japanese “girl pop” music for his Pro Tour win in Prague. He took a trip to Tokyo to see the band Morning Musume and as a result ended up in practice drafts with respected Magic pros Tsuyoshi Fujita and Osamu Fujita. Traditionally more of a control player, Osawa came to understand the tempo of full-block Ravnica draft. Proving that his win in Prague was no fluke, he returned to the finals at the very next Limited Pro Tour in Geneva.[2]
