Jareth, Leonine Titan, is a humanoid Cat Giant who was active in the Pre-Mending era of Dominara as a pit-fighter.

History

Jareth is a megalith, or giant lion-like living sandstone statue at least 10 — and likely over 20 feet tall.[1][2][3] His only weapon is a shield, as he is a defense-oriented fighter. At some point, he became a fighter in the Great Coliseum of Otaria.[4]

Trivia

  • "Jareth" was chosen as his name as it sounded “white, soldierly, and cool”.[4] The use of 'leonine' in his title is used as it’s found in the dictionary: "of, relating to, or characteristic of a lion" and not related to the Leonin of Mirrodin.[1]
  • His original concept was a powerful, heavily armored human soldier, but that seemed too mundane for such a powerful creature, so it was altered into a lion-like living stone statue.[4]
  • In his art, he's carrying the head of a lizard-like creature (maybe Viashino). Its headless, twitching corpse is cropped from the card image and lies at Jareth's feet.[4]
