The Flowstone Bridge is a high span over a bottomless pit in the Stronghold, made from Flowstone.

History

The Flowstone Bridge almost had a mind of its own and actively guarded itself against intrusion. When, during the assault on Rath, part of the Weatherlight Crew stood to cross the bridge, it reared up and grabbed after them. As they scrambled away, Gerrard had the idea of "distracting" the bridge with live bait and threw one of the Stronghold's many shapeshifters onto the span. While the bridge busied itself with killing the creature, Gerrard and the others hurried across the bridge to the other side.[1]

During the Rathi Overlay, the Flowstone Bridge was shifted with the rest of the Stronghold to Urborg on Dominaria. During the latter stages of the Phyrexian Invasion, Eladamri, Sivvi en-Vec and Grizzlegom and their forces stormed the citadel across the bridge. It did not resist their passage.[2]
