Moag is a backwater plane where Urza and Xantcha settled on while kept out of Dominaria by the Shard.[1]
Description
Moag is a hospitable world with abundant, rich soil, a broad swath of temperate climates, and a wealth of vigorous cultures.[2][3] It is bright and pastoral as well as being a metal-rich world.[1]
History
While Urza and Xantcha were hiding from the Phyrexians, the two companions settled on Moag, c. 650 AR. 30 years later, after Xantcha discovered Phyrexians had infiltrated a fire god's cult, Urza and Xantcha chose to leave the plane with the Phyrexians in tow in order to keep them from plundering the metal-rich soil for Phyrexia's needs.
During the New Phyrexian Invasion, the plane was again invaded by Phyrexians. Only the trees were old enough to remember what had happened when Moag ignored warnings of Phyrexia millennia ago. They were determined not to repeat the mistake.[4]
Inhabitants
Moag is populated by Dryads, Centaurs, Elementals and Treefolk that shielded their plane against the New Phyrexian invaders.[5]
Jyoti is a named elemental from Moag.
