Arvad is a vampire, who once was a Benalish knight. He became security chief of Jhoira's crew on the rebuilt Skyship Weatherlight.
Kazarov, a descendant of the notorious Sengir line, turned Arvad into a vampire.[1] However, the holy magic of Serra's Powerstone allows him to move in sunlight and suppresses his hunger.[2][3]
After Arvad was magically compulsed to travel to the Weatherlight 's construction site, he helped Tiana defend the ship against the attack of a Bogardan phoenix.[3] The angel introduced Arvad to Jhoira, after which he swore allegiance to the captain.[4]
