Taranika is a legendary soldier and the current regent of the polis of Akros, on the plane of Theros.
History
Taranika is the niece of the famous King Anax of Akros. With her uncle dead and his wife, Queen Cymede ascended to Nyx, with no direct heirs, the Akroan monarchy has passed to Taranika, closest in the line of succession, as regent.[1]
Taranika appears to be a fervent admirer of fellow Akroan citizen Gideon Jura, known to her as Kytheon, who she says still keeps watch over the polis.[2]
