Zirilan of the Claw (zeer-ree-lan) was an old viashino warlord from the Great Desert on Jamuraa (Dominaria).

Description

Zirilian had supernatural control over dragons of all kinds. He possessed both the ability to summon dragons and the knowledge to use them wisely. He was an ally of Jolrael and Hivis of the Scale. While Hivis bent the dragons of Jamuraa to his will, Zirilan forged a pact with the dragons, brokering peace between their tribes. Once he had established a sacred martial treaty, Zirilan could lead them into battle. He was a very ingenious commander, knowing how best to exploit the mighty strength at his command. He joined the side of Jolrael and Kaervek in the Mirage War, but after Jolrael defected he retreated into the Great Desert.

The treaty established by Zirilan has held for centuries, with Jamuraa's current Claw being Rivaz.
