Players Tour Qualifier

Players Tour Qualifiers were single-day Magic: The Gathering tournaments introduced in 2020 where the winner would qualify for the Players Tour, similar to the previous Mythic Championship Qualifier and Pro Tour Qualifiers.[1]
These new style PTQ's were to be run by independent tournament organizers. They were distinct from WPN Qualifiers, which were to be run by WPN member stores.[2]
Players who would miss qualifying by one or two losses may get a "fractional invite" that could be combined in order to secure an invite to a Players Tour or Players Tour Finals.[3]
In 2022, post-COVID-19 pandemic and post-Magic esports, the Players Tour Qualifiers were replaced by Regional Championship Qualifiers and Regional Championships.[4]
