Gwendlyn Di Corci was a legendary figure known as one of the greatest temptresses of Dominarian lore.
History
Gwendlyn Di Corci was a character introduced in Legends. Her origins lay in Urborg where she was renowned as a seductress. According to the spirit of the pirate Ramirez DePietro, Gwendlyn may have been his undoing in life, but given the many conflicting accounts he gives regarding his death, including some which are proven lies, it's impossible to tell if this is true.[1]
By 4077 AR, the wizard Gurias swore "by Gwendlyn's crotch!" when he was captured by Greensleeves. Fabia of the Golden Throat cast a spell created by Gwendlyn on Sparrow Hawk to charm him, but it failed because Towser held full control of himself.[2]
Behind the scenes
Julie Baroh's model for the original art of Gwendlyn Di Corci was Mr. Wendy of Seattle punk band Sick & Wrong.[3][4] The cat to the right was Georgie Tirebiter, the feline inspiration for their song of the same name. The band were regulars at The Storeroom and Lake Union Pub, and reportedly Kurt Cobain's favorite local band to see. Mr. Wendy and Julie Baroh knew each other from high school and both attended Cornish College. Later, they were in a punk band called Rot13 that played in Seattle from 2001–2006.
