Dalto was a mercenary on Shandalar who was hired to bring back a chest containing the key to the Onakke Catacombs.

History

As Dalto and his associates were discussing the best way to bring the chest back to the Onakke Catacombs, Liliana Vess interrupted them by kicking the door down and barging in. She planned to hire the mercenaries to break into the viceroy's palace. Liliana planned for the mercenaries to handle the viceroy's guards while she killed him. When Liliana touched Dalto's shoulder, he reacted by swerving away from her, and the other mercenaries were angered by her rudeness. As Dalto stood aside, the others explained to Liliana that Dalto did not like to be touched, did not like water, and blistered easily by sunlight. He also did not talk and did not like to be looked at.

When Liliana impatiently explained her plan, the other mercenaries did not believe her, and one named Harcu raised his sword to attack Liliana. However, an angel on the hunt for the band of mercenaries swooped in. As Harcu charged toward Liliana, the angel filled his body with golden light until he disintegrated, to the shock of everyone in the room.

As the others shouted for Dalto to run, the angel grabbed him and lifted him into the air by his neck. The angel announced that Dalto was damned for all time and would dwell in eternal torment, before she filled him with golden light and disintegrated him, just like she had done with Harcu.
