Clay statue
Characteristics
Origin Argive, Dominaria
Creator Tawnos
Status Unknown

Artifacts known as Clay Statues were artificial creatures used as weapons by Argive during the Brothers' War on Dominaria.[1]

History

The clay statues were created by Tawnos from primal clay.[2][3] They utilized an unusual tactic - although looking like many other constructs of the war, their clay surfaces were moldable and could surprisingly entrap the enemies' weapons and even limbs in the clay as the statues finished their owners off.[4]

Over 3000 years later, the Tolarian Academy housed some clay statues in the Hall of Artifact Creatures. When K'rrik's Phyrexian forces invaded, Barrin activated them as part of the academy's defenses.[5]
