The Temporal Anchor is a device crafted by Saheeli Rai to heighten a planeswalker's magic strength and precision.[1] It consists of a platform with leather straps and wires within a sculpture of swooping curves made of fiery orange metal.[2] The anchor is powered by the Powerstone that was removed from the Weatherlight after its compleation. This power source had originally been infused by Urza with the white mana from Serra's Realm. Another component of the Anchor is the Moonsilver Key.[3]
History
Saheeli, Kaya and Teferi installed the Temporal Anchor at Urza's Tower to send Teferi back in time to find a solution to the Phyrexian problem.[1] Although Teferi was meant to be insubstantial in the past, nothing more than a spirit, they found out that he actually manifested corporally.[4] Their first attempt send them to the unset of The Dark Age, which wasn't far enough in the past.[4] The second attempt send Teferi to the Fall of Kroog, which was too far back.[5]
