The Temporal Anchor is a device crafted by Saheeli Rai to heighten a planeswalker's magic strength and precision.[1] It consists of a platform with leather straps and wires within a sculpture of swooping curves made of fiery orange metal.[2]
History
Saheeli, Kaya and Teferi installed the Temporal Anchor at Urza's Tower to send Teferi back in time to find a solution to the Phyrexian problem.[1] Although Teferi was meant to be insubstantial in the past, nothing more than a spirit, they found out that he actually manifested corporally.[3] Their first attempt send them to the unset of The Dark Age, which wasn't far enough in the past.[3] The second attempt send Teferi to the Fall of Kroog, which was too far back.[4]
