Xerex is a plane that features enormous underground passages with Escher-like reality - or gravity bending effects - and kaleidoscopic geometric features.
History
Phyrexian invasion
Next to nothing is known about Xerex prior to the Phyrexian invasion. However, the plane was still targeted by them. The literal-minded nature of the Phyrexians meant that each one the greatest mistake possible on Xerex: they tried to understand what they were seeing. This presumably resulted in the Phyrexian forced being repelled from the plane. Another reason that the Phyrexian invasion of Xerex failed was that reality on the plane merely bent around the invaders.
