History

Phyrexian invasion

Next to nothing is known about Xerex prior to the Phyrexian invasion. However, the plane was still targeted by them. The literal-minded nature of the Phyrexians meant that each one the greatest mistake possible on Xerex: they tried to understand what they were seeing. This presumably resulted in the Phyrexian forced being repelled from the plane.

Trivia

  • Xerex was first (and for a long time only) shown on the Planechase 2012 card Stairs to Infinity.
  • Tying with the plane's mathematic style and aesthetic, its name, "Xerex" is a palindrome word that reads the same backward as forward.
