New Earth is a non-canon plane subtype featured in Doctor Who, on the card New New York.

Description

New Earth is a planet located in the M87 galaxy, 50,000 light-years away from the original Earth. It was chosen for colonization because it had the same water, diameter, orbit, atmosphere, and terrain as the original Earth. There are some conflicting stories about its founding. Some say after the destruction of Earth by the sun's expansion in the year 5,000,000,000, one group of posthuman survivors, called the Arcadians, became nostalgic towards Earth and created a "big revival movement" to preserve old Earth's ways and humans, cats, dogs, birds and spiderkind moved to the planet. According to another account, this happened at least before 4,999,999,740, when New Earth was the capital of the New Earth Empire. Landmarks of New Earth included New New York, which was the fifteenth New York.
