Temmet was a cleric to the Amonkhet gods, responsible for taking care of the Anointed. Not older than 16, he was a vizier of Oketra, but his duties brought him in contact with all the five gods. Other than the Anointed, he also supervised the viziers of the other gods.

Storyline

Though he was technically a vizier of Oketra, Temmet's work brought him in contact with all five gods. He truly viewed himself as a vizier of the city, and much of the smooth operation of Naktamun was due to his oversight. He was only sixteen years old, but his dedication to Oketra, solidarity, and learning had elevated him to the position of supervising the other viziers in charge of the city's infrastructure. He also supervised the arrest and detainment of dissenters. Temmet had studied with Kefnet, trained with Rhonas, and even visited the inner sanctum of Hazoret's monument; Bontu is the one god he did not consider an ally. The anointed mummies who carry out most of the mundane labor in Naktamun were technically part of Oketra's domain, but Bontu constantly sought to undermine that authority, and Temmet was Oketra's main agent in seeking to assert her claim.

Temmet first encountered the Gatewatch when they stepped through the Hekma, the invisible magic barrier that protected the city of Naktamun. While suspicious, since their clothing and mannerisms told them apart, he agreed to lead them through the city and answered questions about their way of life. He took them before Oketra and the god recognized Gideon as one of her own, which seemed to appease Temmet. Later, he checked with the viziers of Kefnet and learned that the outsiders were never born within the city. When he discovered Jace and Liliana in the embalming chambers, he had his mummies restrain them, but Jace took control of his mind, allowing the two planeswalkers to flee.

Sometime later, he was killed and eternalized. He was part of the Dreadhorde and was killed again by Samut.

Trivia

• Inspired by Tutankhamun, Temmet represented the concept of the boy ruler who became a mummy.
