Neva is a Human noblewoman from Eldraine.
History
Neva was a victim of the Wicked Slumber following New Phyrexia's Invasion of Eldraine. As the Slumber spread across the realm, acting king Will Kenrith ordered that victims of the curse be placed in glass caskets to protect them, while the wizards of Vantress studied the slumber's effects.[1][2]
Neva was stalked in the dream realm by Ashiok's nightmares, some resembling Phyrexians that had hunted her in the real world.[3] Neva was only able to fend off the nightmares due to the influence of a mysterious spectral visitor who saved her life.[2]
She presumably awoke when the curse was broken by Kellan, and Ashiok was defeated.
Inspiration
Neva is based on the eponymous princess of Snow White. Her name is likely derived from nevar, the verb for "to snow" in a number of Western Romance languages.
