The Society of Mishra was a secret cult of Phyrexian sympathizers within the modern-day Tolarian Academies. They are worshipers of Mishra and Gix.[1] Their leader was Rona, Disciple of Gix, and they were thus a spiritual successor to the ancient Brotherhood of Gix.
History
The society helped Sheoldred in staging a new invasion of the plane.[2] Once the Society of Mishra took control, the Academy at Lat-Nam became a haven for dark research.[3]
In the aftermath of New Phyrexia's Invasion of the Multiverse, the Tolarians excised the Society of Mishra from their ranks.[4][5]

Sometime shortly before the Death of Belzenlok, the Society of Mishra at the Tolarian Academy at Tolaria West was acting under the leadership of Chancellor Uthras of the School of Artifice, and based out of a network of caves on the Crescent Shore. They attempted to create a hive-mind device but were thwarted by The Traveler.[6]
