The House of Xarl was the royal family of Golthonor on ancient Corondor headed by Archmage Xarl Angel-Keeper, containing his many wives, including Eska, a handful of concubines, and countless children, grandchildren, and descendants, including Eskil. The House of Xarl crumbled after Xarl's own death 346 years after the Serra Angel Trine was bound and made a fallen angel.
