Temmet is a cleric to the Amonkhet gods and responsible for taking care of the Anointed.
Storyline
Not older than 16, Temmet is a vizier of Oketra, but his duties brings him in contact with all the five gods. Other than the Anointed, he also supervises the viziers of the other gods.[1] Temmet first encountered the Gatewatch when they stepped through the Hekma, the invisible magic barrier that protects the city of Naktamun. While suspicious, since their clothing and mannerisms told them apart, he agreed to lead them through the city and answered questions about their way of life. He took them before Oketra and the god recognized Gideon as one of her own, which seemed to appease Temmet.[2] Later, he checked with the viziers of Kefnet and learned that the outsiders were never born within the city. When he discovered Jace and Liliana in the embalming chambers, he had his mummies restrain them, but Jace took control of his mind, allowing the two planeswalkers to flee.[3]
Trivia
- Inspired by Tutankhamun, Temmet represents the concept of the boy ruler who became a mummy.[4]
