Storyline

While Temmet is a vizier of Oketra, his duties brings him in contact with all five gods. Next to the Anointed, he also supervises the viziers of the other gods.[1] Temmet first encountered the Gatewatch when they stepped through the hekma. While suspicious, since their clothing and mannerisms told them apart, he agreed to lead them through Naktamun and answered questions about their life within the city. When he lead them before Oketra and the god recognized Gideon as one of her own, he appeared to be appeased at first.[2] Later, he checked with the viziers of Kefnet and learned that the outsiders were never born within the city and later discovered Jace and Liliana within the embalming chambers of the city, where he restrained them via his mummies. Jace took control over his mind and allowed the two of them to flee.[3]

Trivia

  • Inspired by Tutankhamun, Temmet represents the concept of the boy ruler who became a mummy.[4]
