Hurkyl was one of the founders of of the College of Lat-Nam and the Third Path at the time of the Brothers' War on Dominaria. She was the wife of Drafna, and played a major part in rediscovering magic on Terisiare. She died during Mishra's attack on the Terisia City after vaporizing three dragon engines with a spell known later as Hurkyl's Recall.[1] This was the first true recorded manifestation of magic in Terisiare.
