Zalgadib was an efreet from Suq'Ata on Dominaria.[1]

He defended Ramses Overdark's keep, and in exchange he got to eat Ramses, if he was still alive after the end of the efreet's service. It never came to that, because Zalgadib service would have ended 256 years after the year in which Overdark died. Zalgadib himself was killed by Kolo Meha, who had been sent by Tetsuo Umezawa to destroy Overdark's keep.
