Lady Beluna Grandsquall is a Giant noble woman from Stormkeld, Eldraine.

Description

Beluna is the lady of Stormkeld castle.[1] A storm giant, she is twice the height of Lord Yorvo. She is likely a relative of Gerra Grandsquall. She is known to keep giant pets, including the goose Albiorix, a Howling Galefang, and Beanstalk Wurms that are known to escape the castle and plant themselves in the ground below, becoming massive beanstalks that smallfolk can use to reach Stormkeld.[2] Beluna is a great collector of valuables, and has no qualms with stealing items to add to her collection.[3]

Inspiration

Beluna is based on the giant of "Jack and the Beanstalk."

History

After New Phyrexia's Invasion of Eldraine, Gerra moved Indrelon, the magic mirror, from Castle Vantress to Beluna's castle, Stormkeld.[4] During a party for her birthday, the smallfolk Kellan, Ruby, and Troyan snuck into her castle to consult the mirror.[1] Although they were caught, the giant king Yorvo vouched for the group, and Beluna allowed them to continue their quest.[3] The giant king later gifted her a Howling Galefang, and no smallfolk entered her vault after.[5]
