The Wilds of Eldraine Story Decks were a collection of 60 card preconstructed decks released digitally on MTG Arena on September 6, 2023.[1]

“  Each story deck comprises 60 cards from Wilds of Eldraine. There will be five decks built on three colors that echo the main stories and side stories of the Wilds of Eldraine, while another ten decks will focus on the fairy-tale archetypes that reflect the side stories from across the plane![1]  ”

Main stories

Awaken for Peace

A {U}{R}{W} deck with a focus on Will's kingship following the Phyrexian invasion.

“  Will has ascended to king of the realm in the aftermath of the Phyrexians. With his patience and his intelligent mind, he will bring peace to a realm divided. Fight for those who are still awake with Will, Scion of Peace and Imodane, the Pyrohammer. This deck uses life gain, instants, and sorceries to control the board and save mana to stall the game until the perfect moment![1]  ”

Giant's Loot

A {U}{R}{G} deck with a focus on the Giant Beluna and a gameplay focused on Adventures.

“  Move over amateurs, because the ultimate collector is here, and she's down from her beanstalk! Play as the giant Beluna as she fights to protect her collection from droves of thieves and would-be heroes. This deck loves two things: big creatures and big Adventures. Use Beluna to reduce the cost of your Adventures, and then play your Giants from exile to stomp over your opponent![1]  ”

This is a deck that likes to put a lot of creatures on the board and make them fight. With cards like Faunsbane Troll and Gruff Triplets, you can use the new Role mechanic and beefy tokens to make the board your fighting pit![1]  ”

Heroic Quests

“  Rowan has turned twisted, her brother is weak, and her parents lied all the way to their graves! She has joined her newly found aunt in pursuit of a unified Eldraine, all asleep and at their command. This deck focuses on the Cursed and Wicked Roles, using any lost life or sacrifices to make a stronger and cheaper board.[1]  ”

Side stories

Bad Apprenticeship

A {U}{R} deck with a spells matter strategy.

“  Between studying spells, sorting the library, and cleaning the tower, being a sorcerer's apprentice is hard work. It has become harder for Johann; what started as a great way to finish his chores early has spiraled into a tower full of chaotic, destructive elementals. Bad Apprenticeship works with the many ways to give your creatures the Sorcerer Role, helping you control what card is on the top of your library and allowing you to cast powerful instants and sorceries with Johann and the bargain mechanic.[1]  ”

Having left Ravnica after the devastation of the Phyrexians, Troyan finds himself loving life in Eldraine, climbing beanstalks and stealing from the giants. This deck loves playing spells the size of the sky. It focuses on spells mana value 5 or greater, using Troyan, Gutsy Explorer to help you pay for them with extra benefits each time one is cast![1]  ”

Follow the story of Syr Armont and her knights as they seek the cause of the curse that plagues the Redtooth elves. This deck utilizes the Royal Role and buffing Auras to play the board using the synergies between creatures to keep them safe and disrupt the opponent![1]  ”

This deck works to make as many Rats as possible using cards like Totentanz, Swarm Piper, and his new liege, Lord Skitter. When you have your army of rodents, use cards like Twisted Sewer-Witch to buff them for the final blow![1]  ”

Red Riding, Witch Fighting

A {R}{G} deck with a focus on creatures with power 4 of greater.

“  Alone in the woods? No problem—Ruby's got you covered! Re-enact the story of kinship as Ruby saves her Kellan from the evil witch Agatha's cursed control! Zzzzz...

A {U}{B} Typal Faerie deck.

“  When the Princess Obyra is fast asleep, what else is there to do but make hers a restful one? A difficult thing to do, what with the princess being the plane's best duelist ... and that she duels in her sleep. Enjoy the antics of the fae as Talion, the Kindly Lord tries to rule a steadily decreasing number of waking faeries, while Obyra, Dreaming Duelist makes her lord's task even harder. Use your Faerie army to mix up your opponent and grow stronger with each Faerie played.  ”
